      Notice! The EU home appliance standards EN/IEC 55014-1:2021 and EN/IEC 55014-2:2021 have been updated

      The electromagnetic compatibility harassment requirements of household appliances, electric tools and similar appliances, the European standard EN/IEC 55014-1:2021 and the anti-interference standard EN/IEC 55014-2:2021, have been published on the official website of the European Union.

      EN/IEC 55014-1:2021 will be officially available on September 26, 2021, and will be enforced on October 12, 2023 (at the same time, the current version 2017+A11:2020 will expire).

      EN/IEC 55014-2:2021 will be officially used on September 26, 2021, and will be enforced on October 5, 2023 (at the same time the current version 2015 will expire).

      The main changes in the new version are as follows:

      EN/IEC 55014-1:2021:

      1. Expand the frequency range of radiation measurement to above 1GHz;

      2. Revise general test conditions and add new specific test conditions (such as robotic equipment);

      3. Introduce additional requirements for equipment using induction power transmission technology;

      4. Delete the compliance requirements based on statistical evaluation from the standard text;

      5. Revised the Click analysis, revised the measurement of the observation time and the application of the upper quartile in different types of click analyzers.

      EN/IEC 55014-2:2021:

      1. Expand the measurement frequency range of radiation immunity to above 1GHz;

      2. Revision of the classification of appliances;

      3. Revise general test conditions and add new specific test conditions (such as robotic equipment);

      4. Clarify the requirements applicable to devices with radio functions;

      5. Increase the requirements for wired network ports;

      6. Revise the definition and add new definitions;

      7. Delete the requirements related to statistical evaluation.
